Product Description

Potassium carbonate, white crystalline powder. The density is 2.428g/cm3. It has a melting point of 891°C, and decomposes at the boiling point, with a relative molecular weight of 138.21. Soluble in water, the aqueous solution is alkaline, insoluble in ethanol, aceton e and ether. It has strong hygroscopicity and can absorb carbon dioxide and moisture when exposed to the air and transform into potassium bicarbonate, which should be sealed and packaged.

Application

Potassium carbonate can be used in glass, printing and dyeing, soap, enamel, preparation of potassium salt, synthetic ammoni a decarbonylation, and also used in color TV industry, mainly used as leavening agent, desiccant and analytical reagent in food.
