Manganese acetate (chemical formula: (CH3COO)2Mn) is a reddish transparent monoclinic crystal, and its main uses include:

1. Catalyst: Manganese acetate is often used as a catalyst in chemical industry, especially in the production of polyester chips and PTA. In addition, it is also used in the synthesis and polymerization of vinyl esters and as a catalyst in the production of acetic acid.

2. Oxidant: Manganese (III) acetate can be used as a single electron oxidant, which can oxidize enol to α'-acetoxyenol.

Other applications: Manganese acetate is also used as drying agent for leather tanning, dishwashing tablets, paints and coatings, dyeing mordant, feed additive, etc.

Description	Manganese (II) acetate is the chemical compound with the formula Mn(CH3COO)2. It is used as a desiccant, a catalyst, and as fertilizer.
