Hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene

HTPB is a liquid remote claw polymer, the new liquid rubber.It and chain extension agent, crosslinking agent in room temperature or high temperature reaction can generate 3D network structure of curing content.The curing content has excellent mechanical properties, especially good resistance to hydrolysis, acid and alkali resistant, wear resistance, low temperature resistance and excellent electrical insulation.

Function

HTPB is a translucent liquid, similar in color to wax paper, with a very strong viscosity. Its properties are uncertain, as different grades of HTPB are manufactured to meet different needs. HTPB is a general term for a class of compounds. In rocketry, it is a high-energy fuel called RBS. However, it is not easy to ignite, and the temperature must be above 773K to burn. In the fireworks industry, it is also used as the barrel of a display shell. It is insoluble in water and can make a good sealant. The curing agent for HTPB is usually  diisocyanate or other isocyanate compounds.
