-Topiramate is used to treat epilepsy in children and adults, and it was originally used as an 
  anticonvulsant.   In children, it is indicated for the treatment of Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a disorder that causes seizures and developmental delay. 
-Topiramate has been investigated for use in treating alcoholism,and obesity, especially to reduce binge eating. 
-Topiramate is also widely used to treat migraines due to the effect it has on the blood vessels in the brain
-Topiramate is also used in clinical trials to treat post traumatic stress disorder 
-And recently. clinical reports indicate that Topiramate may have mood stabilizing properties. 

 

Topiramate (the TPM) is a naturally existing monosaccharide D-fructose sulfide, and together with felbamate, lamotrigine and vigabatrin are current several broad-spectrum anti-epileptic drugs with relatively wide clinical application and can be used to control different types of epilepsy with excellent efficacy and pharmacokinetics.
This product is generally used for the adjuvant treatment of antiepileptic drugs and is effective in treating simple and complex seizures as well as systemic tonic-clonic seizures and can also be used for the treatment of infantile spasms.
