Copper hydroxide [Cu(OH)2], slightly toxic, used as an analytical reagent, but also used in medicine, pesticides and so on. It can be used as catalyst, mordant, pigment, feed additive, paper dyeing agent, etc.
Bactericidal action
Its bactericidal effect mainly depends on copper ions, copper ions are absorbed by the spores of germination, when it reaches a certain concentration, it can kill the spore cells, thus playing a bactericidal effect, but this effect is limited to prevent the spore germination, that is, only protective effect.
