Specification
This product is white powder, slightly soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol.
Use: This product is used as a diluent in tablets and capsules. It has good compressibility and moderate disintegrability.
1. Chemical: Calcium sulfate can be used to manufacture other chemicals, such as calcium oxide and calcium fluoride. In addition, calcium sulfate is commonly used in the production of fertilizers and other agricultural chemicals.
2. Construction: In the construction industry, calcium sulfate is widely used in the production of concrete. It can enhance the strength of concrete and improve its durability. In addition, it can also be used as building materials, such as gypsum board, cement mortar and so on.
China GB2760-1996 stipulates that calcium sulfate can be used as food coagulant, casting model and sculpture.
1. Precautions for use
(1) Calcium sulfate has moderate coagulability of protein, and the tofu produced is tender in texture, good in water retention and elastic. However, because it is difficult to dissolve in water, it is easy to retain astringency and impurities.
2. The production of bean products commonly used plaster, excessive bitter. In addition, the dosage should be adjusted according to the season, pulp temperature and water quality.
(1) China's "Health Standard for the use of Food Additives" (GB2760-1996) stipulates that the maximum amount of flour treatment agent (as a diluent of benzoyl peroxide) is 1.5g/kg; For soybean products, can be added according to production needs.
(2) According to FAO/WHO(1984), calcium sulfate can be used in a mixture of cheese and cream in the amount of 5g/kg(alone or in combination with other stabilizers and carriers).
(3) Japanese regulations: the maximum usage is 1% or less (in Ca), or 4.3% of this product (1g of this product is equivalent to 0.2328gCa).
(4) Actual use reference: For the production of canned tomatoes, the reference dosage is: tablet, 800mg/kg; Packaged, 450mg/g(alone or in combination with other hardeners, Ca). For canned potatoes, 0.1% ~ 0.3% can be added according to the formula. The production of bean products commonly used finely ground gypsum, the reference amount is 14-20g/L, excessive bitter. In addition, season, pulp temperature, water quality also affect its dosage. In general, 2.25% of soybean raw materials are used in summer and 4.1% in winter. The pulp temperature of 80ºC is more suitable.
